2 drives and 2 os problem

ok i have 2 drives, one with linux and one with win xp. how do i set them up so that can choose to boot either windows or linux?

Prepare a Ubuntu boot manager floppy. That will mean booting strictly from the floppy drive where the BM will see all partitions and give you the choice to boot from either without changing the boot order in the bios. That is one of the more effective ways there. If you had installed XP after an earlier version of Windows had been installed to a secondary drive XP would offer the choice to boot from either upon loading. You may be able to burn a bootable cd instead of using a floppy for the boot manager however. But the ubuntu floppy had been here temporarily when two drives were run in an older case. XP on the primary. Linux on the secondary.

There are boot managers around that are quite easy to install. Just search google and you should come across quite a few.

Another idea if you don't want to change anything, most computers can boot from any drive, regardless what channel it's on and such. It's all depending on the settings in the bios. So, if you're computer supports it, just switch the boot drive in the BIOS...
