2 GTX 560 ti or GTX 580?

I was wondering which would be better, getting one GTX 580 or two GTX 560 ti's? Just one GTX 580 would be more expensive than getting two of the other, but would it even be faster? I know that if I get just one 580 I have the possibility to add on a second one later, so that's one plus as I'm doing a major system upgrade from a core 2 quad and 2 GTX 285's and I want my new build to last a while yet so getting one good card for now might be a good idea.

Thoughts and opinions?

Go with the 580. Some games will be buggy with dual cards. So you might as well have a more powerful single card and the opportunity to upgrade later.

I think you should just stick with your two GTX 285s. That combo is still plenty pwnage. ;)

I'm definitely upgrading to a core i7 system though, as my core 2 quad bottlenecks my GPU's and I can't OC my cpu without it crashing, but after I see how games run once I do my main upgrade I'll see about a GPU upgrade. Most likely will do one though.
