2 Hard drives appearing, I only have 1

Hi, I was just wondering why when I click on "my computer" it shows 2 hard disk drives, one says ACER (C:) and the other says DATA (D:). My 284GB is split equally between the two and nothing is saving on the D drive, just C.

That's because Acer partitions the drive into two, one for the OS and apps, and the other for data. :)

Your HD is simply split into two partitions, each of which appear as separate drives. Nothing's being wasted, it simply makes organizing your stuff much easier.

Why don't you right click on "My Documents" and make the target D: This will move it over. If your OS go belly up then most of your data will be safe.
