2 HD's One Showing.

I just bought a new Hard-drive. I have all the cords plugged in correctly but neither the bios or vista detects the new drive. I found out, it is only detecting the first two items in the SATA connection, the ignores the other two. This may be weird, but my cd/dvd drive uses one of those connections. And No I can't just disconnect my cd drive as I need it. I switched out the hardrives so the new hd is in SATA 0, and it worked fine.
So, my problem is, How do I make it detect all four slots?

I am running an inspiron 531 motherboard.
I checked the bios, and I didn't see any option for this.

Please Help!

Usually with Dells, each Sata port can be enabled or disabled. There will be options somewhere in the bios to change that.

I looked high and low in the bios, but I didn't see any option for enabling/disabling SATA ports. :( I read somewhere else that some did it on and inspiron 531, so I know it's possible. Sadly, he said he found it in the bios.

Is there some advanced option to enable, so I can change these settings?

Thanks.

Okay, I feel so stupid. Apparently, there was ONE place I didn't check in the BIOS, and there was the settings! Well, problem solved, thanks for the help!
