2 huge problems.. any help is desperately needed

hey I'll cut straight to it in acending order of annoyingness

1. I can no longer play Streaming form the internet.. I have done previously, then It just crashed everytime I tried it would come up with ' the instruction at "Oxe991403d" referenced memory at "Oxe991403d". the memory could not be read or a similar message
2. I can't play WMV files in WMP now.. like wtf is with that lol... then it gives me more jargon in the same format which not so surprisingly Miscrofsoft doesn't understand... so yeah I have tried reinstalling and installing codecs and all those little treats but nothing has worked
and Ideas?

You say you tried re-installing.... did you try updating to the newest version of WMP?
Also re the codecs. i know you said you tried some but have you tried the "K-Lite" codec pack? I installed this pack and it fixed a few of my probs.

Damn... I just did that... I think I have before.. nothing changed... WMP still crashes evertime I play a WMV file and comes up with that error message for streaming, then crashes

sounds like you may have bad memory, try downloading this and it will make a cd or diskette for you to boot to and it will test your memory.
