Now I have a question, since this is a crossfire board with a amd chipset, can you still run 1 nvida card in it? I know you will not be able to sli 2 nvidia cards, but will it still run just one?

Pretty much like having a sli mobo and using an ati video card, in simple words yes you can

Cool. So I guess I have to decide on which one of those to get.

Edit: After doing some basic research, looks like the MSI board is going to be my choice, it has the 790FX chip over the Gigabyes 790X. The MSI has a very nice copper heat pipe while the Gigabyte does not. I already found some guy on a forum that has the MSI and has tried it out, he loved it and was able to get a AMD 6000+ up to 3.3ghz with a Zalman 9700 fan. But he says with some more tweaking and some water cooling he thinks he can get it to 3.5ghz with no problems.

Just saw this on MSI's website about their board. Seems they are going the way ASUS does, you have to manually set your ram voltages and timings since the auto detect will not work with performance ram.

Main Memory • Supports 4 240-pin DDR2 SDRAMs up to 8GB memory size
• Supports Dual Channel DDR2 800/1066 DDR2 SDRAM • Supports 1.8v DDR2 SDRAM DIMM Due to the High Performance Memory design, motherboards or system configurations may or may not operate smoothly at the JEDEC (Joint Electron Device Engineering Council) standard settings (BIOS Default on the motherboard) such as DDR2 voltage, memory speeds and memory timing. Please confirm and adjust your memory setting in the BIOS accordingly for better system stability.
Example: Kingston HyperX DDR2-800 PC-6400 operates at 2.0V, 4-4-4-12.
For more information about specification of high performance memory modules, please check with your Memory Manufactures for more details.
