2 Os???

i was reading here people have 2 OS's. Why? Ive never used anything but XP and previous versions of Windows. Is there some things one OS does better than others? I think it might be interesting to try a free one. My harddrive says i have 45GB of free space. Is that enough? It says total is 70. There are so many, which would you suggest? also, how do you have 2, like you boot in one, then how do you open the other? just curious thanks

It's called 'dual-booting'. The two most common dual-boots are WinXP/Vista and Linux/WinXP. I suggest a search on the Forums for 'dual boot' and do a bit of research.
