2 pin power WTF??!!!

U just found an 80mm fan and now i want to put it on top of my case because there is a like grid there and i can monunt it on top ... but the power pins instead of being 3 pin is 2 pin can i just connect taht to my mobo ... it has 2 wires one red and black but no yellow wire

All old fans where like that, Ussaly the third one is just for the RPM's, I have ltos of 2 pin fans.

Yeha

The yellow wire is only used on fans which allow for monitoring and regulation of the speed of the fan.

AWESOME. tahnx guys got it to work.. i sed a nail clipper to clip off teh litteh pins on teh connector and sanded it down and now it works!!!!!! ya but its a little loud
