i was just wondering if AMD has any plans to make a dual core processor, similar to the pentium m duo core, for laptop use... because i'm considering buying a dell e1505 with a dual core in in but still support AMD very strongly...

and...

do you guys know of any laptops (prebuilt, customizable, or barebone) that have at least 128MB of DEDICATED GFX memory for under 1300USD? preferably ones that support intel's duo core or a future AMD dual core, if one's being planned...

thanks for any and all help...

1. You can get AMD X2 processors in laptops but only the ones that are like 10lb desktop replacement laptops. They are also very expensive

2. I would get the Core Duo as it has compared very well to the AMD X2 3800+

3. Finding a laptop with atleast 128MB of dedicated GPU memory isnt that difficult but can be pricy. Stick with the dell E1505.

4. They make some really good Nvidia Go 7800 series mobile GPU, but those are only in the high end dell laptops.

k... i think video memory/GPU is no concern anymore... i've been talking and most of my friends with intergrated graphics have got through college with no prob running apps... actually my cousin is taking engineering now and is getting by on just 8MB of integrated graphics...

and how is this computer? it's a barebone...
