I was wanting to know if 4 sticks of 4GB dual channel memory makes a computer faster than 2 sticks of 8GB dual channel memory?I am using the AMD Trinity APU on a Gigabyte motherboard.
I'd get the higher capacity sticks (2x8GB) to leave you an upgrade path. Also, I'd get at least 2133 as it makes a more significant difference on the integrated gpu.
The only difference would be if you can get shorter CAS timings at smaller capacitiies. Other than that, if its dual channel, as the boy's said, nothing you'll notice.
