2 Versions of Win 10 Recovery?

I am doing a complete recovery of Windows 10, wiping everything off and starting from scratch. Can someone explain the difference (and pros and cons) of doing this using an ISO file versus the Recovery utility within Win 10? Again I want to delete ALL files and reload everything (I have already backed up everything).
Thanks

With an ISO you're 100% positive that everything will be wiped. Sure the built in recovery will format as necessary, but I don't have high confidence in it.

OK, so before I try again, I need to double check my procedure. I created the ISO file on a dvd, booted up to the disc and thought I made the right choice to reload windows. All of the drivers were gone but I noticed that my data files were still there. Not sure what happened. Any guess?

You must not have selected the Advanced options when looking at the partitions page. You need to click that, select the desired disk, and click Format.

I do remember seeing that page, but I DON"T remember clicking on the format. I first had to think about which partition and then I believe I just clicked next. Thanks for the screen shot. I'll try it now.

What I do is delete all partitions when you get to that screen and repartition to what you want. The installer will recreate the system reserved partition and possibly one other one, all depending.
