2 * x1900 xtx crossfire OR 2 * 7800 gtx Sli

right now the 2 x1900xtx's are better than 2 7800gtx's. especially with ATI's new xpress 3200 crossfire mobos.

1. One x1900xtx compared to 1 7800gtx might be better, but crossfire still has a few bugs and isnt as well developed as SLI

2. I would get one 7900gtx which will handle anything for a good 2 years maybe, then upgrade to another one

Its hard to say, since SLI is slightly better than crossfire, it kinda takes away from the x1900XTX's advantage.

But because the 7800GTX 512MB (that is what your getting right?) costs alot more, and is harder to find, i would go with the 2x 1900XTX's.

well, seeing as how the 1900xtx is ati's highest end card, why not compare to nvidia's which would be the 7900gtx. and two 7900gtx in sli vs. two 1900xtx in crossfire (which, as already mentioned, is not as good as sli), i say that the 7900gtx wins.

Agreed.

If they are 512mb edition, y not just get 2 7900gtx. They are cheaper

very true. And if there the 256MB versions, your much better off either getting the 7900GTX or the x1900XTX.

exactly, i think the single 7900gtx would be the better option overall.

crossfire is not good at all, i saw many benchmarks that shows that 7900GTX in SLi beats two X1900XTX.
go with two 7900GTX, it is better and cheaper as i think.

Well, if u wait a bit the next series of crossfire boards will be out, and they probably will boost the preformance. but i you are going to get it right now, i'd get the 7900GTX in a nice sli board.
actually i'd just get a single card because no game really takes dual 7900GTXs or dual X1900XTX's. infact not many games take any more then a 7800GTX or X1800XT to play all things maxed.
