200W psu works on a system that normally has 300W ?

my pc normally has a 300 W psu but it broke... i can get a 200W psu for free

wil it work on my pc:

amd athlon thunderbird 1400 on an asus A7V133
gf2 400mx 64 mb
sound card (some cheap thing)
Realtec NIC
1 160 gig hdd @ 7200rpm
1 dvd burner
total of 640 mb sd ram pci 133 (3 modules)

no i suggest you dont even try it, stick with a 300 if that was used originally

If it works and the voltages are somewhat stable then you'll be fine Your system isnt uber-power-intensive so you should be ok ... if its not enough then you wont be able to power up

ok i tried it and it didn't work, but i bought a new cheap one and it works and i have 50 Wat more do i can put a new graficscard in it i think

Anyway thnx for the support in these harsh PSU-less times, i couldn't have done it without u

if it doesnt work just disconnect some devices that you RARELY use.
