226bw> 226cw?

Ok this doesn't make sense but on this website they said that the 226cw Samsung 22" lcd monitor is crap when comparing to its previous version 226bw... Any idea why?

I've used both. The BW series has more backlight bleeding, more accurate colors (if you get a Samsung panel), and faster response times, although still slow.

The CW series has less backlight bleeding, a blue tint in the three different monitors I used, and miserable, awful response times.

Imagine the blue horizontal lines on this page leaving 2 to 3 inch trails behind them when you scroll vertically. You can make that a reality with the Samsung CW series.

man i was suppose to order the S panel for the 226bw on ebay and the guy said he ran out so he give me a 226cw instead... shit wrong decision

You should cancel it. Contact eBay if you have to, he can't just send you a similar product. They're not the same monitor.

Oh, I see. I think the correct order is research and then purchase, not purchase and then research.

It's not as bad as I make it sound though. I notice problems that most people don't. It's only certain shades of certain colors that ghost like I described, and I'm not saying which ones because then you'll go looking for them and you should approach your new monitor with an open mind.

Also, I compared the 906CW and 906BW, not the 226. I imagine they'd be the same but the 22" version could always be better.

It's also possible I didn't get true Samsung panels. I know Samsung claims the purpose of the CW is that they're all Samsung panels, but they're full of it.
