23-inch monitor + old laptop

Hi guys, need an enlightenment here.

Can i use my old laptop (full specs see Toshiba A105-S4334) with a 23-inch LED Dell Ultra Sharp external monitor?

I'm now running it with a 19-inch HP monitor and it works fine (1440x900). Will it be too pixelate with a 23-inch?

Yes, but it came with 2gb ram and i've put +2gb and a 128gb SSD to replace OEM HDD.

Thanks for the info. Now i'm trying to decide monitor. The price range is huge within the Dell 23" models.
