25-30% off Dell Laptops

Point taken. While the deals may be 25-30% off, in my experience it takes this amount off to match up the hardware with the other manufacturers specs. Nothing against the OP, it was a nice post. I think we can all agree, however, that Dell's reputation is controversial. This is a forum where people get advice, people want to hear the good AND the bad.

People can say what they want here, but I have never had a major issue with Dell laptops, now I heard some pretty bad things about Dell desktops, but for the price they are excellent.
 
I was thinking of a dell laptop, because I could have gotten a $2300 laptop for under $1950 at that time. But they only had nvidia 8600 graphics cards.
 
i had a Dell Insparon 8100 for over 5 years, only the Hdd went out once. i LOVED it. i now have a XPS M1710 for about 2 years, np at all so far.

if its not a lappy i would build it.
