2600 xt memory clock only 700??

ummm i just baught a VisionTek HD 2600xt 512mb card and on the box it says 1400mhz memory clock speed but in ATI catalyst CC it only shows it as 700mhz, and the core is running at the 800mhz it was advertised at.
 
1400mhz is the sdr clock and ddr clock frequency is just two times
manufacturer always use sdr clock normally
 
DDR stands for double data rate, so when they told it it was 1400mhz, that was the effective speed, while 700mhz is the actual speed.
