2Wire malware?

when i was searching info about routers, i found this :

anybody hear of the rumor that 2wire home portal dsl modem/ routers contain malware in the actual router itself which attaches itself to packets and secretly sends logs of all the networked pcs internet activity to each pc. where it then resides on your computer. And why would they do this? Dont' want to spread bad rumors about 2wire, ( i have a 2wire home portal and it has been great) maybe someone is just being stupid

I highly doubt a huge firm like yahoo dsl would do such a thing. If you read their privacy policy they say they will not use your info or anything like that.

Woah dude, I dont want to start a fight here. If you think they put malware on your pc than go and sue them, good luck. Its just very unlikely they do do it. Also your only source of info is one website. Now dont get me wrong, I have yahoo dsl 2wire and I dont want malware as mush as the next guy. So I hope you do research and possible monitor the packets that are comming in. And find some new evidence. Possibly stumbling upon something that will make you rich and famous.
