3 GB switch causes ATI graphic driver to fail

Okay, I did the 3 GB switch on my Windows XP machine. It works, except for the fact that while in the 3GB swithched OS, my ATI graphics driver can't be detected. When I boot up in my normal OS, it still works fine. I tried installing the drivers again in both the 3GB switch mode and in normal mode, but neither worked. I still get this error when I boot up in 3GB switch mode:

"No ATI graphics driver is installed, or the ATI driver is not functioning properly. Please install the ATI driver appropriate for your ATI hardware."

Please help!

The 3GB switch, is this because you have 4 or more GB of RAM? Windows XP is pretty much ancient now, and if this is the case, consider upgrading to Windows 7 64-bit.

Are you using the most recent driver version? And do you actually need the switch (many people misunderstand its purpose)?
