1. does sharp make computer monitors? like damn when i walk in to a store and go over to the tvs she sharps just are like 10 times better then everything else hey are absolutely beautiful
2. is there currently any thing better then 1080p? i think it was some of the 10" apple monitors or something have a really high resolution i cant remember exactly what i was told though.
3. and with having 3 monitors hooked up to my computer how exactly would it work like say i wanted to have a game up on one monitor, itunes up on another and my facebook on the third how would that work?

Not that I see. You could always hook a TV up as a monitor but it will not be as good as a monitor.

Yes. 1080p is the standard for most gaming rigs but when you go higher than that you will see others that will run 1920x1200 and 2560x1600 on a single monitor. There are others that are HD+ resolutions but those two are the most common that I see

First you would need a card capable of running three screens or more than one card that is not hooked up together in some multi card configuration.

1. if you have one card you will probably need an active display adapter. I can't really explain it but most cards will run 2 monitors no problem but with three you need the active adapter or it will not display. A lot of people use this for an Eyefinity setup but it will also work if you want to game on one monitor and have the others by themselves.

2. if you have a gaming card and you add another card you can run dual monitors off of the gaming card and have the other just running the third display. This is not recommended but it does work.

If you are not gaming on all three monitors then the game will display on whatever monitor that is designated as your main monitor (where your start button is). The other monitors will just remain on the desktop and you can still see any application that is running on those monitors. The monitor that is gaming will lock your mouse so in order to interact with the other applications you will need to Alt Tab out of the game. I have a dual monitor setup and I game on one and keep my monitoring programs on the other.

so with two cards hooked up together it wont work? i was a bit lost in one part of what you said, and also i did see a card with 3 dvi things on it

well two cards hooked together in crossfire or sli might work. I just have not tried it yet.

What card are you looking at? If they have 3 or more DVI then they are a dual card. those will run three monitors by themselves with no extra connectors needed.

he's planning on 2 580's, i suggested to get 2 560ti's to hold over untill the 600/7000's are out in the first half of next year so he'll have a beast and the latest tech without the next stuff coming out soon so he's gotta go threw this part again and be out more money than what he'd be doing now.

more or less im just waiting until all the new cpus and gpus are out to build it now, it seems so close to all this really new stuff coming out

Dual 580's will last a long time. No sense wasting money on a 560 SLI setup just to hold you over till the new ones come out. I would wait till the now CPUs come out then get an SLI setup around 2 580s unless the 6 series is already out or at least close.

thats what i plan on, i am waiting for the new CPUs then i will get 2 of the new GPUs as well
