$300 - SLI or 1 powerful card?

That card will do you fine. If you are concerned with money, then SLI is not for you. SLI doubles your expenses for your GPU department, yet only gives you about a 30% increase in performance. SLI may not be for you.

we'll that card is $150, and my budget for the VGA is $300, so I was gonna get two of those cards, or just 1 really good card.

forget SLI not worth it,get either one of these two

I would go single card no matter what, unless the money you want to spend is far greater than the cost of any single card.
