32 bit in 64 bit PCI slot

i'm just curious, some new motherboards have 64 bit PCI slots, can you put 32 bit PCI cards into the 64bit slots?

that all depends on the motherboard, look at the specs and see if it is backward PCI compatible, if so then yes they wil take 32-bit cards

Those 64bit PCI slots are typically found on server boards and you'll often pop in NICs in there. I would suspect all 64bit PCI slots are backwards compatible as ive not found an exception yet however if you're gonna be popping out several hundred bucks for this kinda board, you'll prolly be wanting a 64bit PCI NIC or whatnot to go in there :)
