32" tv as a monitor?

i was wondering if there is a way to turn my old tv into a computer monitor with out buying a tv tuner.

the tv isn't HD nor can it be HD

and if i do turn it into a monitor is there any way that the picture might not come out as well as a computer screen?

Probably not.
My 32'' HD LCD works great as a monitor, it connects via DVI to HDMI.

If it's not HD, I assume you only have or RCA/SVHS on your TV? The video will be decent for movies, but it's going to be very blurry when it comes to desktop and applications.

i was wondering this aswell. Do you think its worth investing in an HDTV instead of my lcd moniter? The only reason i envy console players is because of big juicy HDtv's.

if you like the big HDTVs id get one instead of the LCD and use it as a computer and tv

My plasma has a VGA port in the back of it

If you want to put your computer through the TV, and it only has RCA connections.

You would have to buy a Video Card with the TV out.
