Total comes to around $340+shipping which should be only $8-$9 because everything has free shipping but the HDD. With these upgrades you will be able to do just about anything you won't.

Are you currently got the PC at your sign? Or you already got the E5300 set-up?

If you already got E5300, i suggest you OC E5300 and upgrade Video card to ATI 4870 512MB

it actually doesnt matter. the video card will use PCI-e X16 instead of 2.0 then.

the other build would be ok, but the ram, video card, motherboard, and hard drive are all lackluster. the 250gb would probably perform much worse than your current setup.

Is there honestly a huge difference between the two or just i should upgrade to 2.0 when i can. And yes I already have the 5300 setup. also i forgot to list that I still have the 250 gig hard drive.

I don't think it worth upgrade to another LGA775 mobo just for PCI-E x16 2.0 as LGA 775 come to dead end soon. The differnece is not huge.
So, upgrading video card should be fine.
Saving up the money, your next upgrade would probably be core i5/ phenom II with DDR3 RAM
