3570k vs 4670k

Hi guys,

Just checked Anandtech bench, and it is showing that at least half of the tests that they ran, the 3570k is actually outperforming 4670k, why is this?

Is 4670k only beneficial for laptops, but not much gain noticed in performance? Anandtech is confusing me.

Can someone please clear up on this?

Thank you,

...the half that it "loses"...lower=better...ya know...the score is based on time so it did it quicker...says it just below the name of the bench

Ooops.... shame on me for not reading the details. Thanks for your reply... I feel so silly lol. Now I know what to buy.

Obviously buy the 4670K and an 1150 board now rather than a 3570K and an 1155 board.

Yeah if building a new PC it makes more sense to go 4670k over a 3570k. It's only a few bucks more for slightly better performance and also the latest motherboard chipset.

Can I ask what motherboard you were going to get? Also, price range for budget?

Ooops, my mistake.

Try this now.

Link still doesnt work for whatever reason, but that board is worth it, althoguh you can get something perfectly fine for less, the d3h is 145 and there's very little difference, it just might be slightly worse for overclocking

Is there a reasonmyounuse that site rather thannnewegg? And anynchance youlive near a microcenter

The D3H is still a solid board I agree, just doesn't have as good of phase count, less sata ports, and also the onboard sound isn't as good (though still decent).

newegg in my opinion, sucks at pricing in Canada. They charge shipping for almost all, and they don't have as many stores as other stores like NCIX and canadacomputers. I just find it that newegg isn't competitive when it comes to pricing for the same products, thats why I shop there.

Anyhow, can you give me an example of one of the D3H boards? I mean, if the cost differences are minimal, i'll just stick to what I posted but if there is a significant difference, say $40 or more, then I'll definitely consider.

should I just go with the one I posted? the gigabyte one? I put the full model name on it.

Get the Z87X-UD3H which I believe is the board you posted.

Get that with a 4670K and you'll be happy. :)
