360 to my laptop monitor... how?

I recently bought a s-video connection for my xbox 360 so that i could play my 360 through the screen on my laptop...

but i cant figure out how to set my laptop to be able to run my 360 through its monitor

i do know how to connect dual monitors so that i could play both while they are connected, but unfortunately i dont have a t.v. or another monitor other than my laptop screen to run my 360 through

id appreciate any possible help

I'm afraid without knowing the specs of your laptop buying a cable alone will not allow you to laptop's screen as a TV. Your laptop must have special hardware that enables video input, in addition to whatever cables you may or may not have.

As of now, few laptops are able to do this, yours is not likely compatible.

It can hypothetically be done, but it isn't worth the trouble seeing as it would have to be routed through some hardware then to some software on the OS, rather then going straight to the monitor itself.
