3800 goin to 2.8ghrz

no i didnt exactly... i read about it, i just got into overclocking like a month ago, ive always been into building show pc's and such


and ive always had an intel... this is my first amd, i dont even have it goin yet, im waiting on the cpu to get here... is why im asking all these questions now

also i new their were pci bus locks, but i was under the impression from a few posts that sometimes the locks dont work when u overclock alot....etc etc

Fair enough, dont take this the wrong way but ... dont rush out and buy yourself a Vaphochill until you have the basics nailed down :)
 
yea.. if u read what i posted.... im not getting vapochill just yet, i have my own watercooling kit i bought parts seperatly and put together, when i hook everything up and start overclocking if i have good temps then i wont do anything else, but if it gets hot i will get a vapochill
 
yea thats why i asked what everyone would suggest a good voltage to stop at for cpu life, so my goal is 2.6ghrz now under 1.6v, would love to stay under 1.5v though
