How does that help him?AMD gs player said:i just read that the 3800+x2 is 10% faster than the intel extreme prossesor in a direct comparison for gaming here see thishttp://reviews.cnet.com/4520-10442_7-6389077-3.html?tag=btn
the 3800+ and 4200+ are the same exact thing, except one has a higher multiplier. Generally speaking you will be able to overclock the 4200+ higher than the 3800+.m3incorp said:Supposedly if you are an overclocker, you can get the 3800+ to to 4200+ speeds easier. The 4200+ has 512mb cache. I am happy with my X2 4200. I think if you check newegg or other companies, you can see if the price difference is worth it to you.
Exactly why I got the 4200+ over the 3800+[-0MEGA-] said:the 3800+ and 4200+ are the same exact thing, except one has a higher multiplier. Generally speaking you will be able to overclock the 4200+ higher than the 3800+.
And its 512KB![]()
4200+ overclocks better + so what? you can get the 3800+ to 4200+ speeds? cool, you can still get the 4200+ to better speeds...m3incorp said:Supposedly if you are an overclocker, you can get the 3800+ to to 4200+ speeds easier. got my X2 3800+ faster than a 4800+![]()

xcept the 4800+ has a bigger cache, so it really isn't as good as a 4800+...
and w/e the 3800+ can overclock to, the 4200+ can always OC 200MHz more![]()
