3D requirements

Hello again!

I'm wondering what is needed to view movies in 3D...

My Nvidia had an update a few month back that supposedly allowed to view in 3D. It required an USB 3D glasses but I'm wondering if my monitor has to be 3D enabled? I have Led Samsung 1080p monitor.

You'd think they could make it do the 3d like in movies at the theater with the tinted lens where the distance is done by seperating the 2 images more and when you focus on that it makes it appear to pop out.
