3dmark06 sm 2.0 score lower?

So anyways I ran 3dmark06 a while ago with 3.3 ghz and cpu at 730/1825/1050

I got a SM 2.0 score of like 4900 and sm3.0 was the same too

Anyways I tried the test again at 3.3 because the temps are stable now with faster 3d speed (i keep 2d speed at lowest cause its better). The sm3.0 speed was higher which was obviously from the raise of the speed which is now 750/1825/1090 and cpu score was higher by a tiny bit too, but sm 2.0 scores were lower by like 150.

I tried changing the settings back to what they were when I had the higher sm 2.0 score but it was even lower.

Any ideas on why it's lower?

Something software wise could've happened in between. If you updated drivers, installed different programs, etc. all those factors can change scores. A difference of 150 isn't a major deal, in fact in game you probably won't even notice it. Benchmarks aren't always 100% accurate.
