I don't see what the big deal is, IMO 3DMark is a waste of time. It's like those guys that overclocked an x1800 to 1GHz core in 2D. Nobody cares because that speed in 2D is like buying a quad opteron system to surf the web.
I had a freind running a similar rig in uni 2 years ago, pretty sure he still has it. It does everthing he needs it toI would just be amazed someone would still be using such an OLD machine.

Lets all get something into perspective, benchmarks are all well and good to drag to your friends down the pub over a few jars. But its a kind of law of deminishing returns passed a certain point
