4 gigs only reading 2

Problem with the system in my sig. I have two 2 gig sticks installed in the right banks, A1 and B1 according to the manual, but windows is only reading 2. PC Wizard reads 4 gigs but only shows bank 2 as occupied. Anyone have experience with these boards? I used to have all the banks filled with the same memory and then sold 8 gigs, it worked perfectly then.

I only have two 2 gig sticks, and in the manual the banks go from left to right: A2, A1, B2, B1, C2, C1. It says for two dimms to populate banks A1 and B1 which is where they are inserted. I just finished running 3D Mark vantage and it recognized my 4 gigs, but it still says 2 gigs under properties of my computer, so now I'm really confused.

I had this issue on a computer I upgraded from 2 to 4GB of RAM, and re-installing Windows cured it. Does your BIOS say whether its 2 or 4GB?

I just did a fresh intall of Vista 2 days ago due to old ATI drivers that I couldn't get rid of, still the same issue. I will check the bios when I get home later today though.

Well upon further examination the one stick of RAM had to be pushed in my 2mm. Now it works. The things you overlook when your drunk.
