My PSU only has a 4-pin cpu connecter but the motherboard i want has 8pins??? Can i still use my PSU in that? Or will i need a new one?
If i can use it, where would i plug it in exactly? the middle, on the left or right?
I heard that the 8-pin was for quad cores.

Some can, some cant. Depends on the board. Most retail boards that can will come with a cap covering 4 of the pins. If it doesnt have a cap it should say in the manual.

You cant plug it into the wrong 4 pins, they are keyed so you cant.

I just purchased an adpater off of Newegg. But it is advised that you get a proper PSU according to EVGA. Mine works just fine but if you plan to overclock etc i would be concerned.

I asked the seller on ebay and it turns out that the mobo only has a 4 pin connection, the picture was for reference. It's all good now.
