Well maybe not but heres what happened

I gotta virus and after running 3 scans i decided to reinstall windows on my acer laptop

my laptop had 80 gb partitioned into two..C for 40 and D for 40

I reinstalled and for some reason I guess I thought I would lose it if I didn't..I "unpartitioned" the D with 40 and made it free space that was unpartitioned..I thought it would either re partition or maybe go to C with 80 total which is what I wanted

now ive reinstalled windows XP and installed a few of the drivers and all I see is C with 40 gb

can I "repartition" after my install or do i have to reinstall again?

I want one drive..C with 80 gb...but at this point I just want my old space back lol so even if i have to do two drives its ok

thanks in advance

You'll have to get some partitioning software, not sure what to recommend, but basically what happened is when you unpartitioned the space, you didn't resize the other partition to take up that space, so it's left unallocated.

The partition software will let you resize (expand) your current partition to take up that space.

Or you could just reformat the space into the second partition again.
