4850 CF/ upgrade question

hello, i was wondering if this is going to work in CF

with my current video card

Im also upgrading my motherboard to do this which is

AMD PHENOM II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition

Also this is my upgrade from my current build which is
1. AMD Athlon x2 4600+
2. Asus crossfire (i know i wasted my money on the SLI function and not use it)

If you guys have any suggestions on something better or more bang for bucks i'd like to hear them please.

All up the parts will cost me
$ 548AUD (incl. postage)
 
You can pretty much CF any 4850 with any other 4850, though it's advised to use the same brand/model.

If one is faster than the other, the faster one will clock down to speed of the slower one.
 
The link for me just goes to the DFI site. But sure you can crossfire them. With different cards if the clocks were different I always had better luck putting the slower card in the top main slot.
 
yep thats fine. watch the PSU output air temp, if it gets warm, replace with something more quality
