Which one to get?

I can get them both for the same price.

The reason why I ask is cause there are mixed reviews (some say nVidia is better, some say ATI)

Now i want to hear from you guys.

The only thing that concerns me is:

Temp
Noise
Performance

Which of the two is better?

Completely depends on the game you're playing. I can't speak on behalf of a 216 as I don't own one, however my 4870 runs a bit warm. If you turn the fan speed to 30% it's barely audible yet keeps it around 70c. Personally at this point, I'd go 216.

Nvidia's physics processor is something to take a look at. After I looked at benchmarks, the average between the two is almost equal. As I said before, there are games that the 216 pulls away, and vice versa for the 4870.

Right now, I'd lean 216.

CoD 4
CoD: WaW
Crysis Warhead
Far Cry 2
Fallout 3

Actually, i can get the GTX 260 core 216 cheaper than the ATI. And with the new X58 mobos, you can go either SLI or crossfire...

So i might get the GTX 260 216...

Also, i can get the Leadtek GTX 260 Core 216 for very cheap

Is Leadtek a good make (reliable, QC, Customer service)?

Prices i get them at.

Gigabyte 4870 1Gb - $520
Gigabyte GTX260 C216 - $450
Leadtek GTX260 C216 - $350

(I know, prices here in South Africa are Ridiculous)

CF scales better than SLI, so you'd see better performance getting two ATI cards than you would getting two nVidia cards. If you're only getting to get one, then I'd get the GTX216, since it has PhysX support.
