I really want this card to, lol, I bet it's going to sell out really quick!

The Inquirer said that ATI is planning on having the price of this card much lower the GTX 280, but we'll see. I just hope it's under $400.
 
Looks really like the comparison from last generation cards.

The 8800GT / GTX280 is just barely above the HD3870 / HD4870 with the HD3850 / HD4850 being just below the HD3870 / HD4870 respectively.

Hope I didn't just make it worse :P

Seems like whenever I need a GPU upgrade I'd be going the ATi way :)

wow so are you saying the HD3870 has more pratical use or performance than the HD4850. I have the 3870 right now and I want to know if its worth to upgrade to the 4850? (or would i be downgrading)

If i get I new card I'm not spending more than $200
 
lol the 4850 whoops the 3870's ASS. the 4850 beats an 8800GTX by like %5 or something and the 8800GTX beats the 3870 by something like %25. do the math.

No (Man I was hoping that bolding the word "respectively" would be a good idea :rolleyes:) the HD4850 is better than the HD3870, what I was trying to say is that the new series place according to performance the same as last generation cards placed. 8800GT > HD3870 > HD3850 and now it's GTX280 > HD4870 > HD4850... get it? ;)
 
I know, I used the 8800GT because that's the main card they used to compare to the HD3870. The GTX280 is the first one they used to compare to the HD4870 apparently.

But you have a point cause the GTX280 is the best of the GTX series right? or are the more coming? :confused:

I thought I looked to make sure there we're no other benchy threads but I stopped looking right before seeing this thread. :D >.>
