$500 budget

My old man's computer took a dive last night, and he has given me the task of building him a new one; and I can spend no more than $500. Since my dad is a 52 year old teacher, he won't be doing any gaming. All he'll be using it for is surfing the internet, preparing powerpoint slides, and small stuff like that.

I'm thinking of going with a P4, because for whatever reason, he's not an Athlon fan. Oh well, I'll bring him to the AMD side one of these days

id go by that u can change a few things, if you would like but its a pretty basic machine and will do the job that u are describing
