So i just put my new system together!!! Such a huge improvement over my old single core 3200+

At stock speeds, I am idling at 36 C in a pretty hot room.(damn afternoon sun)
Anyway. How far would i be able to push this cpu? I had it up to 3ghz stable for 20 min in Prime95. I used the motherboard utility to overclock. Should i use the bios instead? Okay, thanks for the help!

3.0 ghz is huge overclock for this cpu

i have 6000+ and i can only oveclock to 3.3

If you're completely stable at 3.0 I suggest staying there, if you are having some problems then slightly lower your speed to 2.9 or 2.8 if you have to.

I have my 5000+ at 3.19GHz and 1.45v. I think it's 245 x 13. I've had mine up to 3.35 at 1.55v, but it was sort of unstable and rather hot.
