Hi!
I will like to upgrade my memory on my computer but I don't know if my motherboard is compatible

I have this motherboard :
ECS (Elite Group) M930LR V 1.0

System Specifications :

Bus Architecture PCI/AGP
Hard Drive Bus Ultra ATA/100
CPU Type Intel Pentium 4
Model Comments 400MHz FSB, SiS 645 Chipset, ATX Form Factor

System Memory Specifications
Standard Memory 0 MB (removable)
Maximum Memory 2.0 GB
Memory Expansion 2 sockets DDR / 2 sockets SDRAM
Memory Comments PC2100/2700 DDR SDRAM DIMMs or PC100/133 SDRAM DIMMs

I already use two 256 MB SDRAM ON the two other socket can I put SDRAM too or I got to put DDR ???

Is it 2 obliged to be SDRAM and the two other obliged to be DDR?
Or I can add the one I want in the socket I want?

Thank You!

You can only use one type of RAM in that system. As the specs say, you have only two of each socket so you'll have to get larger sticks of either type and remove the original.

thx for your reply but I don't really understand.

to put that simple, do I buy SDRAM or DDR RAM?
I already use two SDRAM right now.

can I buy another SDRAM to put it on the other socket?

or it got to be DDR?

you canT use DDR and SD at the same time, i suggest DDR, its much faster and you can get more memory per stick, since you only have 2 slots that would work, and no, the slots are different, only one at a time, so the sticks arent interchangeable

He won't be able to use both types at the same time. You can use one or the other but not both at the same time.

THx for all your reply.

It's really strange. because I just try to make a little test.
To change my memory stick in the other socket. (it don't enter)

Look here a photo of my motherboard :

http://www.pcchipsusa.com/prod-mbm-m930lmr.asp

Right now my teo 256 SDRAM memory are in the black socket
the red socket just above the black. (the memory don't enter)
and it look like they don't have the same PINS

can we have for example
256 Sdram 168 pins with a 256 SDRAM 184 pins?

I just read more carefully what you just said.
I understand now.

damn it's annoying. I can't use both at the time.

so in fact it's like I have 0nly the choice between memory but not the opertunity to make them work togheter:(

So thank you very much all!! I appreciate!
