512kb/1mb L2 cache, does it really make that much difference ?

Im going to be upgrading soon to a X2 but not to sure what to get.

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4200+
- 2.2GHz operating speed
- 512Kb L2 cache @ 258.44 GBP

or

AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 4400+
- 2.2GHz operating speed
- 1MB L2 cache @ 340.69 GBP

If its really worth the extra for the 4400+ ?

i dont think that cache differnce is going to be that great cause of the price differnce. but if it was cheaper i would say go ahead and get teh 4400 with 1mb but its too expensive and i would say its not worth it to spend more for more cache.
 
Well if you are on a tight budget and its between say:

a 4200 and a 7800gtx
or
a 4400 and a 7800gt

i dont think the extra cache and price difference makes that much of a performance increase.
 
Not really to worried about the budget, im just wondering is it really worth the extra money ?
