52X on a 48x burner

will the 52x media be supported ?
Will it just burn at the drives capacity?

Of course! Many disks say they support 24x-52x, or something like that... But if not, it'll still work just fine.

Yes, 52x media will work fine, but it will only burn as fast as the CD Burner can (48x). You can use slower media with faster burners, and slower burners with faster media, but it will only burn as fast as whichever is slowest.
