533/800FSB CPU in a 400FSB mobo

will the P4 2.6Ghz/533 or 800 FSB cpu work in a 400FSB Mobo? all these cpus and mobo are Socket 478.

If they work does it means it will just run at 400FSB? if so will the speed be the same for a p4 2.6GHz/400FSB and a P4 2.6GHz 533 or 800FSB when put in a 400FSB mobo?

I am asking because i looked all over the place and a p4 2.6GHz/400FSB used will cost around 80 to 300 USD wile a p4 the same clock with higher bus only cost like around 50 USD. what is going on. p4 2.6GHz/400FSB is much older compare to other two but why are they much more expansive?

The processor will run at a slower speed. In each instance, a P4 2.66Ghz (200FSB (what you are saying is 800FSB)) is used, on varying motherboards:

200FSB (800): 200x13=2600Mhz (2.6Ghz)
133FSB (533): 133x13=1729Mhz (1.729Ghz)
100FSB (400): 100x13=1300Mhz (1.3Ghz)
