550w powers a 880GTS(G92)?

Will a Rosewill 550w Active PFC psu supply a 8800GTS 512mb, an e8400 on a x38 mobo?

Mine (signature) powered an 8800GTS (G80) 320MB just fine, before I took the silly thing back to Circuit City in an effort to slow down global warning. I think you have to look at the amperage on the 12V rail. Like, it should be 20 something-or-other. I think that's more important than the wattage for vidya cards.

How many amps are on the +12V rail? If it's above 25A or so I'd say it will work.

The link I posted takes into account a typical gaming system as well. Read the brief info within the post. With a single 8800GTS 550w PSU is fine. GL

If you are really concerned about power, even though 550W should be more than enough to run an 8800GTS, you can get a Thermaltake Dedicated GPU PSU, I use one for my Radeon HD2900PRO, its the best thing I have ever come across, ill link you to it

This is cool for an addon. May not be as practical as just getting a more powerful PSU though.

It works well on here, it took all the GPU load off my PSU, so my PSU powers the PC where that works just for my GPU, its a genius idea I think.
