[Laquer Head]

So, I gave a 570GTX 2.5G card to my buddy to use for a bit and it was working a few days ago, now it has defaulted to 800x600 or 1280x1024 res, nvidia control panel says he isnt using an Nvidia card..etc..etc..

I took a screen shot with a few things open to hopefully shed light on this.

Is the card fried? If so, wouldn't it not work at all? We've tried it on 3 seperate motherboards now..and multiple pci-e ports with exact same behavior!

We have also tried different HDMI cables, dvi cables, and adapters..just to try different things..

Fan spins, hdmi port, dvi ports both work.. but it isnt recognized as 570GTX only a default adpater..

The only thing I can suggest is try a BIOS reflash for the card.

That's really odd that the card still functions but has somehow lost all of it's credentials

What drivers have you tried?

This type of issue is new to me..How do I flash a GPU BIOS?

and yah.. I figured if the card was fried it wouldnt function at all/???
