5970 black edition stuttering in bf3?

hey all,

I'm getting tired of this stuttering effect in bf3. Is it because my 5970 is 1gig per core? when ever i'm move my mouse for turn viewing you can see the choppiness of the movement. it is not smooth at all. or is the problem the fact that i play on a 52" samsung lcd hdtv? If it is infact my videocard's problem. What card do you suggest PREF less than 500$

btw i would like to play on ultra settings via 52" :) currently only playing on high with some settings turn on med.
 
the size of the screen does not matter. Its the resolution that matters.

for less than 500, I would say a 6990 or a 580. Possibly a 590.

Have you updated the drivers? There may be a BF3 hotfix out for your card.
 
apparently reinstalling the drivers helped a bit but still a little stuttering every 40 seconds or so. but much better than the constant where the ____ are they shooting me from lol
 
nope its off :) i dunno i'vetried all the settings even on medium and low i still get a little choppiness... maybe i'll borrow my friends 460 and see how that runs. maybe my card died? T_T

I've ruled out internet speed and harddrive. can ram effect game play? 12 gigs... i did notice stuttering in other games. even games on other harddrives.

seems the deeper i dig the more problems i find lol
 
When you said you reinstalled the drivers, you mean you updated them to the latest 11.11 version of the drivers? And you removed the other drivers completely? Just making sure you didn't just reinstall the old ones.
