Alright all,

My freind says his nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP is better than my ATi Radeon 9600 Pro AGP:confused:

Is this true?
I mean i dont realy care lol but he constantly keeps going on about it and when he plays warrock or any other game he plays his graphics dont look as good as mine on the same settings and resulution.

According to this site:
http://www.gpureview.com/show_cards.php?card1=75&card2=192

Just so we can prove whos is better to shut him up:D,And as i said i dont care so i wont be embarresed if his is faster....Just so we know whos right.

They are pretty equal. IMO I would go with the 6200 because it supports DX9.0c SM3, etc. But the 9600PRO may perform better in a couple games.

Honestly, I thought my old Radeon 8500 did better than my 6200TC that I had a while back. I didn't officially test them, but Need For Speed Most Wanted seemed to run better on the machine with the 8500 :P And what was worse, that machine was only a PIII 733MHz!

Okay,

I knew the 6200 also supports Pixel shader 3.0 where mine only has 2.0

But another thing ive noticed is this.

On that review site above it says that the ATi Radeon 9600 Pro has a Core clock of 400 MHz and a Memory clock of 300 MHz (600 DDR)

Well why is mine slightly diffrent?
Heres a screenshot of mine.....

6200TC usually have lower specs than 6200.

When you run Most Wanted on 8500 it will run on DX8, but it runs on DX9 on 6200, thats why the 8500 can outperforms 6200TC in some games.

This is the same as MX440 vs 5200. The MX440 can outperform FX5200 and even FX5500 in Most wanted, because the DX9 and DX8 features will be disabled when you play it with MX440

Which is why I think the 6200 supporting SM3.0 is useless, it's just not powerful enough to make use of it!

While the 9600 Pro has slightly better stats, the 6200 has newer architecture. It's pretty much a toss up.

Exactly :D

Thats the RAMDAC, generally all video cards that are either brand new or old, have a 400Mhz RAMDAC. It doesnt show your memory speed for some reason, but it should be 300.
