64 Bit CPU Question (Really Easy!)

I feel stupid to ask, but have never had one before. If I get a CPU with 64 bit support do I have to run windows 64bit or can I run windows x86? I searched the web and came up empty. Thanks

No, you can run either versions with a 64bit CPU.
