64 Bit OS memory

Is there a memory "overkill" limit for 64 bit OSs? or can they use all of their installed memory up to the 128 GB limit?

They can take up to the amount of memory your motherboard supports so it will probably be 4GB / 8GB / 16GB

we have esx servers at work with 64gb ram; any more than than and you run into cpu bottlenecks.

64GB a lot? There are servers that run up to 500GB of RAM!
