Ok, well I'm planning on going with 4 GB or RAM on my new rig, so that means I'm going to have go use 64 bit Vista, correct? And I've heard that 64 bit really lacks in the area of driver software, is this still true? Has M$ improved 64 bit?
You shouldn't have any problems with finding hardware drivers, unless you're running some really old stuff. The 64 bit version of Vista is better than it's XP counterpart.
